Gene Harris Bandshell in Julia Davis Park

On Saturday, July 8, Opera Idaho once again performed in the Gene Harris Bandshell at Julia Davis Park. This FREE outdoor concert featured world-class soloists, the Opera Idaho Chorus, and a live orchestra under the baton of conductor Andy Anderson. 

Attendees enjoyed highlights from our upcoming season, opera favorites, and musical theatre selections. Over 2,500 Idahoans came in 2023 to enjoy over two hours of free music at the Gene Harris Bandshell in Julia Davis Park. Also returning this year will be food trucks and a beer garden!

At Opera in the Park, we will be raffling off a few baskets with amazing goodies! Make sure to buy your raffle tickets at the event (cash, card, venmo, and paypal accepted). The wonderful items in these baskets were donated by local businesses and individuals. If you frequent these locations, make sure to thank them for their support: City Peanut Shop, Roaring Springs Water Park, The Discovery Center of Idaho, Goodwood BBQ, Iron Pine, Mixed Greens | Modern Gifts,  and, of course, Opera Idaho.

VIP Experience

Julia Davis Park

Join opera lovers for a VIP experience before and after our free Opera in the Park concert on Saturday, July 8. Starting at 5:30pm, VIP guests will enjoy a delicious catered dinner and a post-concert dessert reception with artist meet & greet. 

VIP tickets include non-alcoholic beverages and hosted beer and wine with dinner, at intermission, and following the concert.

Dinner Menu: Blackberry and cucumber salad with a honey-lime vinaigrette (V/DF/GF), Salmon with French herb salsa (DF/GF), grilled red wine marinated flank steak (DF/GF), roasted cauliflower and quinoa salad (V/GF), green beans and cherry tomatoes (V/GF), and mini triple berry pies (V) and chocolate pots de crème (V/GF) for dessert.

Tickets: $150 per person
