Let’s Go to Paris

Join us for a free concert commemorating the 300th anniversary of Paris Opera and the 30th anniversary of Bastille Opera House. This concert will feature classical and contemporary pieces from works that take place or premiered in or around Paris, or have some ties to Parisian life; performed by Resident Company members as well as our visiting young artists.

Soprano Cara Gabrielson, mezzo-soprano Ashley Kay Armstrong, Tenor Max Jacob Zander and Baritone Radames Andrew Gil will reprise some of their selection from the Let’s Go to Paris concert, along with some of their favorite arias from the canons of opera. This concert is part of McCall’s Music Society’s Second Sunday Sounds.

Veteran’s Day Concert

Join the Opera Idaho Children’s Choruses, Treasure Valley Concert Band and Boise Phil Master Chorale for an evening of music dedicated to our nation’s veterans. Presented by the Department of Music at Boise State University.

The Treasure Valley Concert Band is in its 36th season, comprised of musicians from all walks of life, who enjoy playing fine wind instrument literature. The group plays three regular concerts per year, repeating those concerts in various communities throughout the Treasure Valley.

Conductor Marcellus Brown came to Boise State University in 1989 and has been directing this group for over 20 years. He has been recognized for his work and dedication as an outstanding conductor not only at Boise State, but is asked to conduct all-state music groups and ensembles locally, throughout the United States, and abroad.

The TVCB program is designed to please audiences of all ages, filled with familiar music from years past, classic band literature, Broadway show tunes and current film scores, designed to encourage you to tap your feet and play or sing along in your mind.
