
Boise Baroque Orchestra Vocal Workshop
Dive into a transformative experience with the Boise Baroque Orchestra Vocal Workshop, in partnership with Opera Idaho. From August 6th to 12th, 2025, vocalists will immerse themselves in a week of intensive training and performance, culminating in two captivating concerts.
What to Expect:
- Personalized Training: Receive one-on-one professional coaching, voice lessons, and guidance from Maestro Robert Franz, Conducting Fellows, and esteemed Master Clinicians including Dr. Andrew Campbell, renowned opera singer Andrea Delgiudice, and voice expert Jeffrey Seppala.
- Performance Opportunities: Showcase your talents in an art song recital accompanied by Dr. Campbell and an aria concert with the Boise Baroque Orchestra. Both concerts will be professionally videotaped, providing you excellent material for auditions or promotions.
- Master Class and Recitals: Engage in a dynamic master class and perform your prepared pieces in two special concerts at First Presbyterian Church in Boise, ID, and the elegant Chateau des Fleurs in Eagle, ID.
Workshop Highlights:
- Art Song Preparation: Spend the first half of the week perfecting your art song and aria selections.
- Final Performances: Perform with the Boise Baroque Orchestra on August 12th, featuring 18th Century arias conducted by our Conducting Fellows.
Vocalists Tuition: $800
- Includes professional video recording of performances.
- Food, housing, and transportation are not included.
- Carpooling and use of a company van is available during your stay in Boise.
Audition Requirements:
- Letter of recommendation from a private teacher, coach, or industry professional.
- Two video performances of contrasting arias and/or art songs, showcasing your vocal ability.
- Headshot and resume.
- List of three 18th Century arias or oratorio and three art songs for the final concerts.
