We hope you will join us for two special nights at KIN featuring performances by Opera Idaho! These two picnic-style events are a way for KIN to give back to the community. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Opera Idaho. The ticket includes a three-course meal for one (with snack), a cocktail, a large bottle of water, tax, gratuity, and a performance of opera favorites by members of Opera Idaho’s Resident Company.

KIN is a fairly new restaurant located on the corner of 9th and Main in Boise. It is co-owned by chef Kris Komori and restauranteur Remi McManus, of former State & Lemp fame. They developed piKINics as a way of serving guests socially-distanced in the hillside “amphitheater” where audiences watched the inaugural season of the Idaho Shakespeare Festival over 40 years ago. These piKINics have allowed them to have live entertainment and some have become fundraisers for local art organizations like Opera Idaho. The piKINics are nearly entirely contactless: check in, order additional drinks via phone, leave when you’re done.

The majority of the available seats will be on our grassy hillside “amphitheater,” with priority for patio seating given to those with accessibility needs. Blankets are encouraged if you haven’t specifically requested the patio. Low-back chairs are allowed in the grass, but may not be usable in some of the steeper spots.
